Where it all began
In 1980, our mother, Ines Rönner, came to Colombia from Germany for a two-week holiday—and never left.
She brought with her a deep love for horses and the equestrian world she had grown up with in Europe. Soon after, she opened a small tack shop in Bogotá, shaped by her eye for craftsmanship, her European roots and, above all, her lifelong passion for horses.
Taking the reins
Growing up, horses were simply part of our world.
In 2012, the two of us—Jessi and Carin—decided to take that heritage in a new direction, imagining a more feminine and expressive approach to the equestrian apparel market.
This is where our two worlds came together: the refinement of our European roots with the color, femininity and spirit of growing up in Colombia.
Rönner became European equestrian heritage with a Latin soul—and prints, color, embroidery and unexpected details became our way of telling that story.
Rönner Meets the World
We packed our collections and began taking Rönner to international trade shows. In an equestrian market that had traditionally been quite classic and restrained, Rönner felt like a breath of fresh air. Our prints, color and femininity caught people's attention, opening doors in the United States, Saudi Arabia, Japan and Australia.
It was exciting to discover that our love for horses could connect us with women all over the world.
A New Way to Connect
As Rönner grew internationally, our digital world began to grow with it. What started as a new way to connect directly with our customers soon became the largest side of our business, bringing the Rönner world to women wherever they were. Around this time, we also launched our Sleepwear Collection, taking our prints and equestrian storytelling into a completely new part of a woman's life.
The Story Continues
Today, I have the privilege of carrying Rönner into its next chapter.
What began with my mother's love for horses, and later became a creative journey my sister Jessi and I shared, is something I am incredibly proud to continue.
Today, Rönner lives through three worlds—Activewear, Lifestyle and Accessories—each different, but all connected by the same love for horses and a desire to create pieces that feel feminine, distinctive and timeless.
As we grow, there are things I never want to change: our attention to detail, the personality behind our prints, and the special connection we share with women who, like us, simply love horses.
